Grocery Bill Checker (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Android application.
Key Principle: Your data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.
The following data is stored only on your device using Android’s encrypted storage:

The App requests camera permission only for the optional barcode scanner feature. Camera frames are processed live on your device using ML Kit and are never saved, stored, or uploaded anywhere.
All data processing occurs locally on your device. We use your data solely to:
We do not use your data for: advertising profiling, analytics, marketing, or any commercial purpose beyond the app’s core functionality.
The free version of the app displays ads via Google AdMob in three formats:
Consent (GDPR/EEA/UK): Before any ads are shown, users in these regions are presented with a Google consent form (User Messaging Platform) where they can accept, reject, or customize ad choices. You can change your choice anytime via Settings → Privacy Options in the app.
What AdMob may collect:
AdMob does NOT receive: Your shopping data, personal information, or any app-specific content.

Required for AdMob functionality and app security services.
Used for barcode scanning and text recognition (OCR).

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us immediately.
Since we do not operate servers or transfer data internationally, no cross-border data transfers occur. AdMob (Google) may process data globally per their privacy policy.

As we process no personal data on our servers, GDPR controller obligations do not apply to us. For AdMob processing, Google acts as independent controller.
We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by CCPA. No personal information collected → no deletion/access requests applicable to us.
